Buena Vida Family Center has been serving the community for 11 years in English and Spanish. We believe in the power of healing and personal growth. Our team of licensed therapists and mental health professionals provides compassionate, client-centered therapy that meets the unique needs of individuals and families.

We strive to create a safe and welcoming environment where clients can explore their thoughts and feelings without judgment. Our services include individual therapy, family counseling, and specialized support such as immigration evaluations. Our goal is to empower clients with the tools they need to foster resilience and achieve personal growth.

El Centro Familiar Buena Vida lleva 11 años sirviendo a la comunidad en inglés y español. Creemos en el poder de la sanación y el crecimiento personal. Nuestro equipo de terapeutas certificados y profesionales de la salud mental ofrece una terapia compasiva y centrada en el cliente que satisface las necesidades únicas de cada individuo y familia.

Alicia Tijerina M.Ed., LPC

I received my bachelor's degree from Texas Wesleyan University in 1976, specializing in bilingual education. I went on to earn a Master's degree in bilingual education at Texas Woman's University in 1985. I earned my counseling certification in 1986 and became a licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in 1987.I served a total of 25 years in a school district, with 11 years as a teacher and 14 years as a counselor. During that time, I also worked as a counselor at a counseling center for 5 years. After my 14 years as a counselor, I transitioned to a new role in the district, where I worked for an additional 10 years as a migrant recruiter.

Elizabeth Cazares, LMSW- supervised by a LCSW

I earned both a Bachelor's and a Master's degree from the University of Texas at Arlington. I am a licensed Master Social Worker with experience working with families and children. My previous job was with a school district, where I worked as a home instructor. I also completed fieldwork in the same school district as a social work student. 

I joined Buena Vida Family Center in 2015 as an administrative assistant and transitioned to a therapist role in 2018. I have a passion for helping my community, especially adolescents who may need support with their mental health.
